I really hope someone can help me out here. I'm working on
a big document (200+ pages) in Word 2000. The doc is set
up with 3 main sections plus appendices at the end. As it
stands, I have the page numbering set up like this (it has
to be done this way)...
ie: 2-16
....my issue is that periodically through-out the doc I need
to have letters added to the end of the page number for a
span of 2 or 3 pages like this...
ie: 2-16A, 2-16B
....these pages were additions to the original paper
document and I need to have these pages included in the
Word doc so that the numbering remains consecutive if pages
are added at any point in the future.
I have no problem doing this with the original numbering
(ie: 1-17 or 3-97), but I'm stumped on how to do this with
the additions that appear in the middle of a section or
appendix.
Scenario: (example pages = ...2-15, 2-16, 2-16A, 2-16B,
2-17...).
If a page is going to be added after 2-16A, the new page
becomes 2-16B and the old 2-16B will become 2-16C. But 2-17
must remain as that.
Can anyone help please ?!
