How can I use a spare text field, to concatenate a number from a formula in a
custom number filed and alpha characters, say a "%" pecent sign?

Hi Laz,

Assuming your number is in the Number1 field. In a spare text field
(Text1 for example) customize the field with the formula:
[Number1] & " %"

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
