condense size of power point file?

How do I condense the size of my power point file. Right now it is 14KB.

A completely blank Presentation (one blank slide with nothing) is 8KB on my
system. Did you mean 14 MB?

14 KB is very portable and does not need to be further compressed. 14 MB is
rather large and can almost certainly be compressed.

I am working with presentations, in PPT97 and 2000, that are 30-40 slides
long each of which contain 30+ full screen jpg images - these run at
40+MBytes.
