'Conditional formatting' in Project 2007

I'd like to format a milestone bar shape (Format Bar / Bar Shape / Shape,
Type, Color) differently depending on the value of a field for that milestone
(in this case, a flag).

Any thoughts on how to do that?

Thanks
Henrik

Henrik,

First step. Hit the "help" button on the Bar Styles dialogue box (Menu:
Format/Bar Styles) and read there for some great clues. Experiment.

I've (re-)read that but I don't seem to find an explanation of how to link
appearances to the values of a flag...?

I don't have time right now to work it all for you (busy right now
working with clients who pay me well for just this sort of thing).

: Insert a new row. name it something, e.g. "Dependancies"
: define the appearance as you like
: show for should be either "Marked" or "Flagn" (help describes this).
: define which row you want it in
: set the from and start date

I don't think it changes appearance based on the value of the flag.
It's the other way. given the value of a flag, it will display that
appearance.

The trick (keep this secret) of Project is to figure out how it works.
It's a computer program. It's nothing more than that. Then, make it
work like it wants to work.
