Conditional Printing

I have a large document that I need to print in different versions. Is there
any way to embedd commands/fields in the file to cause sections to be omitted
when printing. The only stuff I can find seems to apply to MailMerge, not
normal document operations.

There's no particularly easy method for this. One approach is to use a
distinct style (or set of styles) for each conditional section. To omit a
section from the printout, set the style's font to Hidden.

This would be certainly be possible, but would require much manual work
allowing for many mistakes (for me, at least)....

I've written a conditional parser to operate on an rtf file, but there are
too many bug in Word's rtf import/export to use it. Shame.

Seems like many people could use such a feature, eh ?
