Conflicts with different version of Office Apps???

Has anyone else run into conflicts when Outlook 2003 is installed with older
versions of Word and Excel installed?

I've had random errors, for example:
-the Office Assistant does not run
-can not e-mail directly from Word

Anyone else had these problems???

Yes, mixing Versions WILL cause problems. Office assistant gets very
confused, and Word doesn't understand versions of Outlook created after
it. You will need to use Outlook as a "stand alone" application to avoid
unpleasant side effects.

Yes, both of those have been an issue here. I have disabled the assistant
for the time being by doing an install/remove of the office product. Then I
removed the office assistant that way.
