connecting an unlinked story

I have a story with a broken link on page 9 and a new link from page 10 on. I
want to link page 9 to page 10 to keep continuity. However, the only thing
I'm allowed to link to is a blank page. Page 10 has data. If I insert a blank
page after page 9 as the new page 10 and link 9& new page 10, I still can't
link new page 10 to page 11 (which was old page 10) because it contains data
and this program won't let you link to a page that contains data. If I try to
cut the data out of page 11, the rest of the overflows into page 11, keeping
if from being blank and accepting the link.

I don't see the rationale how this program is supposed to work if you have
to link your story but all parts of your story have data and the only pages
you can link to are pages that are blank.

Delete the text boxes on page 10 and 11. The text will go into page 9, you won't
see it because the text box is too small to hold all that text, but the text is
there nevertheless (elongate the box if you are unsure). Create a new text box
on page 10, link from 9, the text will flow.

If the text is not in text box 9, copy/paste from 10. Publisher will then ask
about pages and text boxes.

ot; This drove me nuts for a few minutes yesterday...I would have expected
that when you unlink pages it would leave the flowed text where it was (in
both text boxes) - what I really wanted was for it not to flow any longer
since I had figured out the layout.
