When i open or close an enterprise project from the Project Server
I get this error.
Connection failed
SQLState; "01000'
SQL Server Error: 52
[Microsoft] [ODBC SQL Server Driver] [DBNETLIB] ConnectionOpen
(Connect()).
Connection failed;
SQLState: '08001'
SQL Server Error: 17
[Microsoft] [ODBC SQL Server Driver] [DBNETLIB] SQL server does not
exist or access denied.
After the error window, a window pops up asking for the connection
credentials again. After confirming them a few times, the project will
open.
The message text lead me to think that it was a bad connection string,
probably a username or password. But I setup a System DSN using the
same credentials. I have tried SQL Server authentication, an Secure
Connection (NT Authentication). Neither worked, I received the same
error.
