Contact picture in "from" field

John Everett

Incoming emails have a little grey person icon at the beginning of the "From" field (ie before their name and address).

If I have a contact picture for that person, is the grey icon supposed to actually be the picture - or is that not a feature of Outlook 2003?

Many thanks for any help!

That icon relates to the person's status in MSN Messenger. If they're
offline (don't have Messenger on), the icon is gray, if they're online, it's
green and you can send them an instant message, if you like. If you don't
like the feature, it can be turned off.
