Control box. Set where others can typ in box?

I have created a form to e-mail to applicants. The form consists of control
boxes where they can type in the informationa and send back to me. The
problem...when it is sent to an applicant they can not type in the box unless
they turn off the design mode. I have tried to save the document and it
still will not work. Can someone tell me how to fix this problem.

If they have to turn off design mode, it's likely 'cause they haven't got
macros enabled.
