control of presentatation

I am wanting to start a slide show on a multiple monitor system where I can
do other things while the show runs, but the computer looses control of the
show and wont continue even if there is timings associated with the slides.
Is there a way to make powerpoint shows continue to play in the background? I
also would like to have a presenter automatically bring powerpoint “aliveâ€
into the foreground and active automatically. Is there a answer to my needs?
