convert text box to text

How can i convert a text box into plain text? I flipped a letter of
wingdings in the text box and i want to get rid of the text box. PLEASE HELP!

There is no built-in procedure for converting a text box to text. Click in
the text box, press Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C. Then delete the text box, and press
Ctrl+V to paste the text into your document.

Ok well i took the wingding letter...A...i wanted to flip it upside down so i copied it to paint. After i flipped it the letter wasnt in a text box anymore, and i couldnt copy it to word without there being a box around it. The files properties say its in rich text format, and wenever i try to open the file in word jibberish pops up. Do u know any way to get rid of this selection box on word?

You have created a picture. When you click on it, you should get the Picture
toolbar, which will allow you to change the wrapping to In Line With Text
(so you can insert it into the text stream), but it will still be a picture.
The bounding box will not print (unless it is a border or "line," in which
case it can probably be removed).
