convert text to date

Hello! I exported a table from access into excel with the
date entered as text. I want to convert the text field
to a date field in excel. Is this possible?> The field
is formatted yyyymmdd. Thanks

Hi

Select the range and use Data / Text to Columns. This lets you tell Excel
how to treat the cells, and gives you a list of date formats to choose from
(on the third dialog box).
