convert Word picture to jpeg

I have created several Word documents that include digital photographs from a
camera.

Several months have gone by, and I've deleted the photographs from the
camera, but still have the Word documents.

Is there a way to convert a "picture" into a jpeg file?

(I tried CTRL+SHIFT+f9, but didn't see how that worked).

See http://www.gmayor.com/extract_images_from_word.htm If the images are
already embedded, Ctrl+Shift+F9 won't do anything. This is the shortcut for
unlinking linked images. In this case, if they *are* linked, you'd be much
better off leaving them linked, then using Alt+F9 to get the path to the
originals.
