What's the keyboard shortcut to convert a URL (eg
http://www.google.com/) to plain text?
I tried Ctrl+6, which I use to convert fields (such as date fields) to
plain text. With the URL, it appeared to convert it. The text changed
from blue underlined to black not underlined, but it still seems to
have some "field properties" left. If I place the cursor at the edge
of the "field" and try to select a few characters (using Shift+Arrow),
the entire field is selected.
Interestingly, I can select individual characters if I start in the
middle, but not at either end. Why is that?
Anyway, is there a keyboard shortcut that will remove all field
attributes and convert anything into plan text.
I just noticed that this seems to operate differently within a table
than outside a table. If I copy the contents of the table cell to an
area outside the table (select, Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V), then Ctrl+6 does
convert it to plain text.
So, is it some table setting?
