CONVERTING EARLIER THAN WORKS 7.0 FILES TO WORD 2003

I have installed the Works 7.0 converter that comes with Office 2003 but
obviously the .wps files I'm trying to access are from an earlier version of
Works (I'm not sure of which one). Anyway, when I look at all of the
converters available for earlier version of Works, none of them are set up
for Word 2003.

When I try to open the .wps files in Word 2003, I get a message saying that
the file is corrupted. What can I do to enable me to access the .wps files
in Word 2003?

Download and install the Works 6.0 converter from
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=318244 , and then try to open
the file again. If that doesn't work, then download and install
the really old Works converters from Word MVP Graham Mayor's
website http://www.gmayor.com/downloads.htm (scroll about
half-way down the page to the File Converter Downloads section).
