converting index.xls(list of hyperlinks) to index.htm, Word docum.

I have an Excel list of hyperlinks to various Word and Excel documents. All
of the hyperklinks work correctly in the Excel sheet. When I convert the
Excel sheet to an HTM, some of the Word documents opened by the hyperlink do
not open correctly. The Word doc is a mail merge and the mail merge toolbar
is not available when opened from the hyperlink in the htm file. the mail
merge toolbar IS available when the document is opened fromthe hyperlink in
the Excel sheet.
Anyone figure this out?
