Converting JPG to Powerpoint

J

Jerry Bodoff

Hi:

First off let me state that I do not have powerpoint on
my machine. I have downloaded the powerpoint viewer from
Microsoft and use that when I receive a powerpoint file.

My question is this: Is there any kind of software,
similar to the powerpoint viewer, that will allow one to
create a powerpoint presentation from a set of JPG files?

Any response will be helpful. Thanks in advance.

You need the PowerPoint application, which you can purchase by itself, or as
part of the Microsoft Office Suite.

If you just want to create a "photo album" of images, there are multiple
products that do that. Ulead Photo Album, Adobe Photoshop Albumn, Photo
Story by Microsoft, and Movie Maker 2 (for Windows XP), which is free, are
just a few.

There are all manner of apps, many of them freeware/shareware, that'll let
you create a slide show made from JPG or other files.

Try google on "image viewer" or "slide show"

or visit one of the big shareware sites like zdnet.com or tucows.com and
search a bit there.

You can't create a PowerPoint file per se, not w/o PowerPoint itself (though
some other programs might be able to write a PPT file in an older format.)

Hi Sonia and Steve

Thank you very much for the info. I will look into 3rd
party software. I probably will not purchase powerpoint
as this is the first request I have gotten in years.
However, if costs are the same for 3rd party then I will
look into purchasing powerpoint.

Once again thanks a lot

Generally, you will find PowerPoint significantly more expensive, but it
does so much more than the simpler programs. It really depends upon your
needs.
