Copy part of a project

I have a user who is requesting the steps necessary to accomplish the
following:
He is using Project 2000.

He has a project that he has split into two time frames- Jan-July 2006 and
July-Dec 2005. Both have been saved with a baseline.

He is wanting to copy the original July-Dec 2005 tasks and paste them below
the Jan-July 2006 tasks (these are yearly recurring tasks). The copy and
paste works, but it messes up his existing Gannt chart.
