Copy problem in WORD

Ok, heres the problem:
copy in ms word and in open office text editor doesnt work at all!!!
What could be a problem?

I am simply confused..

We're confused too -- you need to be more specific. Are you trying t
copy from MS Word into MS Works? What is "open office editor?

Okay, we need to get more specific. What version
of Word are you using? What kind of object (text,
picture) are you trying to copy?

Highlight some text and press Control key (Ctrl)
and then the "C" key. Switch to the target Word
document and press Ctrl-V to paste your selected
data into the target document. Did this work? What
happened?

Assume you are referencing the free OpenOffice
word processor. Unless someone in this group has
experience with OpenOffice and takes pity on you,
don't expect an answer to OpenOffice questions.
You see, it's not that we are uncooperative: we
are specifically oriented to Microsoft Word topics.

Im trying to copy and paste text in the same Word document and it look
like copy was somehow disabled.
