copy setup files from CD

giovanni

After installing Office 2003, I choose to delete the setup files that were copied from the CD to my hard disk in order to save some space. However, now I would like to copy these files back because I don't want to be prompted for the Original CD. Can I do that without reinstalling Office and how (i.e. which files do I have to copy and do I need to set any special path in some files)? Thank you for your help

Hello,

Unless a reinstallation, it is not possible to put the specific installation files into the MSOCache directory. However, you
may use the following workaround: Copy all the files from the Office setup CD(s) to a folder on the hard disk. When the
program requests to provide the CD, point to the hard disk folder location. There in after, the setup may not prompt for the
files location for repair.
