Copying folder from one computer to a new computer

Trying to copy over all my old e-mails from my old
computer. Outlook express is on both pcs. Had no
trouble just copying the files and populating the InBox
and Sent items. But my personal folders for archived
messages copies the .dbx files into the Outlook
directory, but the software doesn't recognize them. They
don't appear when I open up Outlook Express. any ideas?
