Copying formats of presentations

Dear all

Can anybody offer me any urgent help??

I have two presentations, both containing different formats. The old
presentation contains the old company colours, formatting, logos etc. as the
main master slide format for all slides. However, the new presentation
contains a new format that we have to start to use.

As I still use the old presentation, I now need to copy the new formatting
into the old presentation onto all slides.

I do not use PowerPoint very much and have limited knowledge.

Can anybody offer any help with this???

THank you

Hi all

I've worked it out! You use Arrange All so you can view both presentations
and then double-click on the Format Painter on the original presentation and
copy the formatting onto each slide on the new presentation.

Thanks any way.

Louise,

Actually the better way is to delete all slides but one slide of the new
format. Delete any text you might have on it and just leave the
placeholders. Click "File", "Save as", change the "Save as type" dropdown
to "Design Template (*.pot)". This file will not be saved in the
appropriate templates folder for future use. Open up one of your old design
presentations, click the "Format" menu and select "Slide design". Select
this new design template you just created and the entire presentation will
now take on these new colors/features. Repeat as necessary for additional
presentations.

Hope this helps!

thanks very much, Bill. I didn't know that method. I'll try and remember it
for future reference.
