You can do a text copy and paste from PPT to Word

You can do a screen shot of a slide and paste it into your document.

I have a number of text boxes on a slide. I want to copy
the text boxes to a page in word without losing the
formating. Does this make sense.

Yup, but you might want to consider sticking with one thread, Chris.

At any rate, what version of Office are you using? I ask because this is
easier in Office XP than previous versions.

In all versions you can use Edit/Paste Special and choose "formatted
text."
