Copying Project into Word

Yvonne

Is there an easy way to copy a large project file into word or do I have to
copy and paste each page seperately and insert as a picture?

Thanks

The Copy Picutre wizard (camera icon) in Project will allow you to select
more rows that what is on the screen.

Another alternative in Word, Insert/Object... then you will want to "Create
from File", browse to the Project.mpp file, select OK. Check the Linked box
if you want the two linked, otherwise it will insert a copy of the file.

Viewers of the Word.doc will see a portion of the file. Double cllcking the
project in Word will wake up MS Project and they can play with the entire
schedule.

I can think of several ways to do this. The first is to use the Copy
Picture to Office Wizard by completing the following steps:

1. Click View - Toolbars - Analysis.
2. Click the Copy Picture to Office button.
3. Work through Steps 1 and 2 in the Wizard and select your desired
options.
4. On the Step 3 page, select Word and select the Orientation you want.
5. On the Step 4 page, select the standard and custom fields you want to
see.
6. Click the Finish button and then click the Close button.

Another option is to use the Copy Picture button to take a snapshot of the
project, as suggested by Jim Aksel, and then click File - Save as Web page
(assuming you are not using Project 2007). You can include the GIF file
image of the project in the Web page and then save your project as an HTML
file. Then open the HTML file directly in Word and save it as a Word
document. Hope this helps.
