Copying text blocks on the same page.

I'm running Word 2000 on Windows XP home OS. I feel very
much like a fool with 'Word'... it's sometimes very
counter intuitive.
My question is this... I'm trying to create 4 midentical
postcards on one 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of cardstock.
Obviously, I want the same block of text to appear 4 times
on my layout, but after 6 hours of trying to do this
apparently simple task, I haven't yet succeeded. I need
some guidance here. I've tried using formatting-->
borders, tried copy & paste (obviously doing something
wrong), as the paste never works, and I can't position the
cursor near anywhere I would want it. HELP!
I don't know whether a lot of users have ever tried
this..I'm just assuming I'm not the first to ever need
this kind of function, but I'm truly lost.. Thx in
advance to Anyone out there who can walk me through the
procedure. E-mail directly to me rather than posting, if
possible. Thx again.

Click on Table | Insert | Table | Number of columns: 2 | Number of rows:
2 | OK. This will create a table with four table cells. Type what you
want into one table cell, and copy and paste to the other three table
cells.
