Cost Rates Update (Tab A)

I have resources loaded to my project and I need to change the rates in rate
schedule A. Right now, I double click each resource and add the effective
date and new rate $/hr under the Cost Section, curve A.

Is there a lazy way to do this? What I would like to have is a view that
shows each resource and the Curve A rate and date. Then I could just key in
the rates and drag the rate down (since the effective date is the same for
all). Doing it my way, I have a lot of unproductive clicks.

If the new rate is for all task assignments in the entire project from the
very beginning of the project, then you can simply enter the new rate in the
Standard Rate column in the Resource Sheet view, and use the fill handle to
fill the rates for every resource. Whatever you enter in the Standard Rate
column becomes the rate for Cost Rate Table A.

If the new rate is from an effective date forward, with only uncompleted
work after that date costed at the new rate, with all previous work prior to
that date costed at the old rate, then you will need to do the following:

1. Open the project and apply the Resource Sheet view
2. Double click a resource
3. Click the Costs tab
4. On the second line of the Rate Table A data grid, enter an Effective
Date and the new rate
5. Click OK
6. Repeat this process for every resource

Hope this helps.
