Could not create the subweb

Hi, upon installation of Sharepoint Team services for Project Server
(STSWIZ.EXE), I get:

Setup error: Could not create the subweb.

The server is Win 2k Adv. Server w/ SP2 and SQL Server SP2. Frontpage
extensions were uninstalled and I ran the COM+ setup. I've retried
several times, making sure to delete C:\Program Files\Common
Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\50.

I've tried about every suggestion I could find in this news group. Am
I missing something?

Gary, I had already gone through the steps (at least 5 times) in that
document that appplied to the error messages I was receiving. I
continued to get the exact sames messages at the same point in the
installation process.

Any other ideas?

Jeremy:

Some things to try:

1) Make sure the account you're logging in with is a member of the local
administrators group on the machine, regardless of it's other credentials.

2) Try creating the MS_ProjectServer_PublicDocuments directory manually on
the website where you're trying to install STS and rerun the STSWIZ.
