Error: could not create subweb

Hi there,

I am ready to pull by hair out all ready.
when I install Sharepoint team services I get the
following error message "Error: Could not create subweb".

I have been doing some reading and Microsoft suggest that
you edit your temp variable in your enviromental variables.
Did that, same error!!!

They also suggest that you try another cd in case of disk
problems.
Once again tried that, same error!?!?!?

Any ideas are welcome!!!!

Ok, now that you've got that off your chest, let's have some details about
your setup. Are you using STSWIZ to install? Do you already have project
installed? Are there other applications running on the STS box? Please
describe the steps you're taking to install.
