Could someone share their experience .

1. What is book to read ?
2. What is the best way to do the practice exam ?
3. Do's and Don'ts ?
4. Internet Resource ?
5. Any thing, you may think useful for the exam ?

By MS Project certification, I will assume you are referring to exam 70-632,
which is Microsoft Office Project 2007: Managing Projects. You can find
information about this exam at the following URL:

When you pass this exam, Microsoft awards you an MCTS certification
(Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) in Microsoft Project 2007. To
answer your specific questions:

1. I would personally recommend that you prepare for the exam by studying
the book, "Ultimate Learning Guide to Microsoft Office Project 2007". Of
course, I am one of co-authors of the book, so I am a bit prejudiced in its
favor. You can purchase the book at:

2. There is no practice exam for this certification, as far as I am aware.
I would gladly invite the others to correct me, if I am wrong.

3. To prepare for this exam, I would recommend that you have project
management experience using Microsoft Project 2007 to manage your projects.
The more experience you have with the tool, the better your odds of passing
the exam with a high score. As you take the exam, I would encourage you not
to rush, and to take your time. If you are not certain of the answer to any
question, you can mark it for further review at the end of the exam.

4. This newsgroup is an excellent Internet resource, as is Mike Glen's
TechTrax lessons at:

Dale and Trevor, they have not addressed all my questions. It i
partial response only. I like to have more views from who is alread
passed MCTS exam. Let me hear from them.

o How they prepared ?
o what is their experience ?
o what they want to advice for folks who is preparing for the exam ?
o What book/practice exam/program they followed ?
o Is there any benchmark, which can give confidence that ,
I am ready for the exam ?

However, I do feel, your response did not meet my expectation in tota
for the following reason
1. As I was looking for input from others as well
who passed the exam
2. In your view there is no practice exam.
A small research in the internet, I did notice couple of pratic
exam
I was curious to know, if someone would have taken some practic
exam
3. Agreed. As I know, this is the best resource.

Any way, I think, we spend more time to discuss subject which not
subject
*All I want is answers to my following questions ? If you have alread
responded please do not respond again. Please you share only you
experience, how you prepared and what is your experience in you
journey

o How did you prepare for the exam
o what is your experience and advice
o What book/practice exam/program you followed

Like take Rita's practice exam and score 90 % ? o
Answer about 1000 questions from Rita's practice exam, etc. or
Read Rita's Project 2007 book for 5 times and answer all th
exercise, et
