covering up a flash image

Is there ANY way to cover up a portion of a flash file that's played in
Powerpoint? I want to cover up half of it and everything I try still has the
flash above everything else.

NO, Flash files (and video) always play in the foreground. This is by design
and cannot be changed.

There's one way. You can cover a Flash file with another Flash file.
