Well, for starters, do you already have all of the possible service packs
and patches installed for Office 2000? Go to the Office website
(
http://office.microsoft.com/home/default.aspx) and click the Office Update
link near the upper right corner of the page. It should tell you if you
need any updates for your version of Office.
Beyond that, you'd need to give us more information...like what kind of
error messages you get (exact text please), what you're doing when the
crashes occur, etc. There are so many possibilities here that you'll have
to help us narrow them down.
