Crashes on save 90% of time

I have one project that happens to be our largest project
in MSP 2002 (sp1). 90% of the time that i make changes to
the data, the system crashes during the save. It gives me
the usual "we are sorry but the program has to shut down.
your work is toast" message.

The changes I am making to the data include only simple
schedule updates.

Any idea what may be wrong?

If you suspect a corrupt file, you could try the suggestions in FAQ Item:
43. File Bloat? - Might be Corruption.

We had this same problem- One place to check is your
resource sheet- as we found a BUG , where several thousand
generic resources were getting auto-generated added into
this problem project- deleted those and the problem went
away!

Also, the task note on the Zero task line can only be 255
characters- this hangs up projects as well.
