Create footer outside of page border

You cannot insert one outside of the page border. You will have to use
paragraph borders instead.

To put the footer outside the area allocated to the text in the body o
the document, use File|Page Setup|Margins and make sure the footer siz
is less than the bottom margin size.

Of course, you can't reduce the footer size to less than 0, which woul
push it right off the page.

If you set the page border position as "From text" instead of "From edge of
page," you get an option to "Surround header" and "Surround footer." Both
are enabled by default, but you can disable them.

Hi Turmoil,

If you select the footer (or header), you can insert a textbox (or jus
about any other object, picture, etc) there and position it whereve
you like. If you use a text box, you can also change the orientation o
its text so that it runs vertically instead of horizontally.

This is just like the sample Pleading I sent you -- anything can b
placed in the header or footer. If you place a graphic or text box o
frame, it can be formatted to wrap "in front of" or "behind" text an
dragged wherever you want it on the page. When you close th
header/footer, it won't get in your way when you're working on the res
of the document.

A word of caution -- use frames instead of text boxes if you need Wor
to see any fields inside it, such as page numbers or the like. Wor
has a problem with reading such things in headers/footers that contai
text boxes, tables, and floating graphics
