creating a bleed and printing it to pdf.

Hey Guys and Gals,

I am trying to create a page that is the size of an A4 with a 3mm
bleed all around, and I would like to see crop marks.

What I have done is....

Started with an A4, and than shrunk the margins to 0 on all sides.

Than under printing, and advanced settings I clicked on bleeds, show
bleeds, crop marks, and used Adobe PDF to print. It didnt work out.

I dont know why. Anybody have any other ideas as per how to do this?

Thanks.

Thanks for that. However I saw those as well. My hiccup has been in
printing it to Adobe PDF just to make sure that it is working
correctly. I set up all of the settings but I am not sure if it is
working correctly. Hence my desire to print it to a pf to see if the
crop and bleed marks show up.

Any ideas? Thanks for your reply.

You need to setup your Acrobat to a custom size.

So for example. I want my page to be an A4 with a 3mm bleed all
around. What page do I need my Adobe to be?

Can you provide some instructions please.

A4 = 297 x 210mm

A4 + 3mm on all sides = 303 x 216 mm.

Page sufficiently large to also show crop marks: Larger again.

I am still having a problem with this.

I cant get it to print to adobe properly with crop marks and all.

Any suggestions?
