creating a custom paper size for HP LaserJet 5L

Can the old HP 5L and Publisher 2003 be made to print on this odd-sized paper?

I want to use paper 4.75in x 9.5in to print CD booklets. Clicking "Help," I
followed the 8-step directions (without a problem) in the article: "How to
add a custom paper size to Publisher." It says, when I set up a publication
to print from that specific device (my HP 5L) "the new paper size will appear
on the list" - but it doesn't. And, the 8 page publication shows up as 16
pages - with very little printed on the paper.

You have to setup your printer. If you can select a custom size within your printer
driver then Publisher will reflect this size. Are you inserting your paper
vertically? Basically your setup is akin to envelopes.
