creating a template to change slide colors

Brendan Beers

I am newbie to PowerPoint and I have been having a problem. I was given a
presentation where all of the title and body text in the slides are
different. What I need to do is make it so that all of the titles are in the
same color, font and size. I also need to have it so all the body information
is in another color, font and size.

I have set up a color scheme and applied it to all of the slides but that
didn’t change the colors. Is there any way I can set up a template of sorts
and apply it to all of the slides so that they all get updated?

You may have a task ahead of you if the author didn't make use of the Master
components such as color scheme and placeholders. It also sounds like the
author set the slide backgrounds individually. I think that what I would do
would be to open a new presentation using the template that you have created.
Then go to Insert > Slides from File and locate the other presentation and be
sure to *uncheck* the box that says "Keep source formatting" and click on
"Insert All". You'll probably still need to make changes, but you'll be closer
to your goal I think.
