Creating templates with locked items

I'm creating a generic template for our organization for colleagues to use, with logo, etc. I would also like to control the type, the placement of text and such, so that all others have to do is type in their message -- is there a way to lock boxes on the master, or use form fields as in Word??

No, this is not available in PPT. There's no way to "lock" individual items.

If you would like this feature to be added to a future version, do put your
thought across to Microsoft through the MSWISH initiative:
