Creating two manuals from one doc??

Allan

Hello.

I'm the editor of a manual, let's call it A, which consists of approximately
300 pages. I would like to know if it is possible to create a "spinoff"
manual from this one, let's call that B, which consists mainly of text from
manual A, but also has some "stand-alone" text in it? The B manual will be
significantly shorter, maybe ~100 pages or so.

Is it possible, that if I make one entry into the A manual then the B manual
would automatically be updated?

Kind regards and thanks in advance

Yes. Take a look at the Include Text Field.

Thanks, however as far as I can see this only allows me to insert a complete
file into a new document, can I select which parts of the document I would
like to transfer?

Kind regards Allan

You can bookmark portions of the file and include the bookmark in the
IncludeText field.
