Critical Path error

Hi,
I have a critical path error problem, hoping someone can answer.
When looking at the citical path, the critical path does not show up only
parts of the critical path shows up. If you play with the durations of some
tasks you may get the real critical path. This is with all task ASAP, no
other constaints and with the tasks set to fixed work effort driven.
I can find the critical path by using the trace predecessors & successors
marco written by Jack Dahgren (which by the way is an awesome macro if you
are not using it I highly suggest you do ) This macro clearly shows the items
on the critical path. When I set theProject to a fixed duration, not effort
driven and remove all the work, the true critical path shows up. (same items
using the macro)

Do you have Schedule Continuity? Are all tasks, except Summary lines
and fixed date meetings, tied in, having both at least one predecessor
and at least one successor? If not, finish the linking and see that
happens then. Make sure no Summary lines are linked. You many need to
add a "Start" milestone and "Finish" milestone so that tasks that start
right at the beginning of the project have the Start milestone as a
predecessor, and tasks that finish at the very end of the project have
the Finish milestone as a successor.

Hope this helps in your world.

Can you direct me to where I can find the macro by Jack Dahgren that traces
predecessors & successors?
