Current date and traffic light

Is there a simple way to show a red-yellow-green traffic light when Finish
(date) is less than e.g. 5, 10, 15 days from Current Date or more specific
how do I subtract to dates.
I have tried to make a formula in a customized field but the closest I get,
is a date saying that my finish date is 2,38 $ away (when I use Cost1 and the
formula Finish - Current Date). This I can change to a Graphical indicator -
but it dosn't seem right to calculate this way?

Hi,

First you need to do the calculation in a number field or text field. Then
in Project what you are looking for is termed 'Projdatediff' this gives a
value based on the difference between two dates. The result though is not in
days but rather a value based on the number of working hours for that tasks
calendar times 60 (minutes in the hour). Hence for an eight hour day the
result will show as 480, so you would need to divide the result of the
Projdatdiff by 480 to give the number of days. If the day is 10 hours then
divide by 600 etc.

Once set up the graphical indicators will then perform the logic check to
ascertain the correct traffic light colour.

It will undoubtably take a while to get the right answer but the
functionality in Project for this is reasonably user friendly.
