cursor bar won't go to the end of a row

I made the note field in a list view of my contacts very long, so everything
would print. If I drag the cursor bar to the end (far right), it bounces
back, so I can not read all of the notes field. If I click on the little
arrow to get it to go toward the end, it won't do anything. I can read the
first bit of the notes.

Is there a way to fix this?
