custom animation question

Jeff

I am using PowerPoint 2002 and apologize if this question is too basic, but
if I do not ask I will never know how to do it.

I have a slide which has two items on it: a title (for which I used a word
Art object), and below it a text box containing information. I would like
the text box to fade away when I click on the mouse and be replaced by a
second text box. Right now the only way I seem to be able to do this is
with 2 clicks, one to exit box 1 and another to bring up box 2. Is there a
way to do it with one click?

Thanks

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

yes, you can do it with one click: With the menu item Slide Show - Custom
Animation bring up the Animation task pane. Click on the entry which
represents your second text box. Near the top of the task pane you'll find
Start options: Change this from "On mouseclick" to "With previous" (or
"After previous"). Now you'll need only the click for box 1 and box 2 will
animate automatically.

Best regards,
Ute
