custom+dictionary+new+words

I'm editing the translation of a Chinese Martial Arts/Historical novel. There
are several translators involved and the place and character name spellings
are inconsistent. In some cases when I enter the proper spelling into the
custom dictionary the displayed spelling shown when I right click on the
miss-spelled word in the translation is not the same as what I entered in the
dictionary. An example is the name Botong which should be Bo Tong. I added Bo
Tong to the custom dictionary, but a right click displays Bo tong as the only
choice. That spelling is not in the dictionary Why is it not showing properly?

You didn't mention the version of Word you are using, but you may want to post this in the MS Word International Features or Word
Spelling/Grammar tools newsgroup as well, links below.
