Hi there,
i have created an enterprise custom field, this a calculated field that is
supposed to derive its value from the value in the 'Remaining cost' field
which is a variance between the 'Actual cost' and 'Cost' fields respectively.
However, after creating the field and adding it to the 'Assignment cost' view
in project center no value is displayed.

Please how do i solve this problem

Verify in the project schedule whether values and/or graphical indicators
are showing up for your custom field in the "Task Usage" view for the
detailed assignments. It might only appear for the task level value which
would explain why it isn't showing in the assignments views in PWA.

A task can have resources assigned to it. Each resource assigned to a task
creates an assignment relationship. You can see this by switching to the
Task Usage view in Project Professional. The task level would be the line
with the name of the task. The assignment level would be all the resources
that are assigned to that task and will be directly below the task level.
If you include your custom field in this view, you will see that there is a
value set at the task level. Depending on how you defined your task custom
field, the assignment rows will either have the same value as the task or
will be NULL. Unfortunately, I don't believe you can populate graphical
indicators at the assignment level, just the value.
