Does anyone know how to insert a Work column and use customize field/formula
to display 50% of the original Work column?

Hello Drew,

I assume that the "original Work column is the Baseline Work ?
The formula could be :
([Baseline Work]/2)/[Minutes Per Day]

Insert a Numberx column : Insert / Column...
Right Click the Numberx label / Customize Fields...
Rename it as you want,
Formula : paste the previous formula
