Custom Indicators

I would like tag certain tasks in my project by entering information in
custom text fields (text1, text2 etc.) and have a custom indicator displayed
in the indicators column that identifies the tasks that I tagged so. How do I
do that?

Hello Salilu,

Insert your Text1 field and select it, then :
Tools / Customize / Fields...
- Rename... as you want
- Formula : write a formula if the value of this field can be calculated
- Graphical Indicators : select data for the 3 fields : Test, Value, Image

Thanks for the reply.

This, however, does not solve my problem. The graphical indicator is
displayed in the text fields that I have custom information in. This forces
me add Text field in the view. I am polulating the field programmatically and
do not need it in my Gantt view. I would like the indicator to be in
"Indicators" field -- the column that follows after ID in the default Gant
view.
