Custom Timeframe

How can I create a Gannt Chart or Task based report for a specific
resource for a given month? I've been able to do one or the other but I
don't know how to limit a report to say all of the tasks Resource A
worked on in the month of August.

I've look at the "Who does what when" report but I don't want it to
print out all of the months in the project and I don't want the hours
rolled up into a summary task.

Turn on Auto Filter and filter to that one resource.
You can then use the other filters for setting task dates... there is a drop
down filter on the tool bar that should help.
