custom views in project server 2002

I have a question that I hope someone can answer. I have a
published project on my project server. I can create a
custom view and save it but any additional changes to the
view (additional columns, column title changes, etc.)
don't get saved? My new custom view alwasy reverts back
the setup of the view it was copied from when I close the
file. to If I save the file locally and make changes, the
changes do save. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Try the following:

1. Click View - More Views...
2. Select your custom view, then click Edit...
3. Take note of the Table used in this View
4. Click Cancel and then Cancel
5. Click View - Table - More Tables...
6. Select the Table that is currently used in your custom View and click
Copy...
7. Give your custom Table a new name and select "Show in menu"
8. Add the columns you wish to see, and delete those you don't
9. Click OK, then click Cancel
10. Click View - More Views...
11. Select your custom view, then click Edit...
12. Change the Table in your custom View to your new custom Table
13. Click OK and then click Apply

Does your new custom View appear as you wish, with all of the columns you
wish to see? If so, click Tools - Organizer. In the Organizer dialog box,
copy BOTH your new custom View and your new custom Table from the right side
of the dialog box (the current project) to the left side (your Global.mpt
file), then click Close. Let me know if this helps.
