Data provider returned E_FAIL Status?

Hello,

Went to save a pivot table created in MS Access (2002) and got the following
message:

"Data provider returned an E_FAIL Status"

Now, I have one variable that asks a user to declare in my query - it's a
single date. Not sure if that's a problem. Also, the HTM page and access MDB
and sitting in the same folder together.

Anyone know what's causing this?

Did you ever determine why your received this error message? I just designed
a Access database and created a data access page to perform data entry via an
HTM page. As I test this page on differnet machines around the office, I get
the "Data provider returned E_FAIL Status" error on some (but not all)
machines when I try to write to the database.

Please let me know how your overcame this error. Our network admin is
baffled because it seems all setting are identical for the machines that can
enter data and those that receive the error message.

Thanks.

Jake
